We are committed to supporting research and education in the early detection and treatment of thyroid and head and neck cancer, to advancing new therapies, and to alleviating the suffering and functional impairment of patients who undergo treatment.

The THANC Foundation Invitational Golf Tournament

Thank you for making the 8th Annual THANC Foundation Invitational Golf Tournament such a success! On Monday July 12th, the fundraiser, hosted by The Levy Group and held at the Glen Oaks Club in Old Westbury, NY, raised over $550,000 to support research, continuing professional medical education and community awareness, outreach and patient support in the fight against thyroid, head and neck cancer.

Clara Tomaz - New Media Art and Disease

New Media Art and Disease

Clara Tomaz is a patient of Dr. Mark Urken's, a cancer survivor, and also a multimedia artist who creates videos, stop-motion animations and art installations concerning medical studies, the self in transformation and the concept of the cyborg. She is a Master of Fine Arts student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Please note: Clara's artwork depicts the traumatic experience of having cancer and some viewers may find it disturbing.

Successful Marathon Fundraiser

Congratulations to all of Team THANC, our friends, family, and sponsors who contributed to make THANC's involvement in the Long Branch Half Marathon such a success!

Nearly $25,000 was raised to support THANC's mission, Danielle made the newspaper, and we're already looking forward to next year!

SPOHNC (Support for People with Oral and Head and Neck Cancer) is a patient-to-patient support group which meets every fourth Tuesday of the month at the Beth Israel Medical Center.
